NITORI Orchard

Showroom at Heeren is new, and staff seems to be Japanese who speak decent English. Since it's new, everything is clean. The layout is more similar to Courts than IKEA. Prices are decent, and there's more things in the showroom here than there is on their website. A lot of paper signs though, maybe not enough time to put up proper signs on their furniture yet.

I bough seven colour box ncolobo shelves and within three weeks of receiving and assembling all the shelves. White/green mold started appearing all over the shelves. So I decided to just clean it every time the mold appears and give it more time. And I kept on placing and replacing the mothball. In hope that the mold would go off. Unfortunately the mold still persistent on and as seen in the pictures. The mold is getting a lot more worse, it irritates my skin and I'm just worry of the mold spreading to my other furniture. I email in to Nitori but they mention it's because of the country humidity and it is not cause by their product. So no point contacting them I guess. No help was provided on their end, so for anyone reading this. Please don't buy their shelves, It's my first purchase with them which turns into a nightmare. Furthermore, I've plenty of other wooden furniture at home. But I have never had to deal with such an issue.

First impression it looks like a typical new Japanese furniture store.. on the inside it is a whole assortment of special products that are all branded by them.. just like Muji. Their products are inexpensive by Muji standards and when I did a quick check on the difference between nitori Japan (by the way they are bigger than Muji or ikea over there) and the prices here the differences are not a lot and would be more expensive to directly buy from Japan!

My favourite Japanese 'ikea' . I always brought back stuff from them whenever I'm in a country with this store. Loves it's price point. Loves it's alternative design than ikea . Ultimately the Japanese touch to the product brought out the uniqueness of it. Finally a shop in Singapore . I really wish it is bigger . Product is also out of stock rather fast. The refresh rate of products are also rather slow. Hope what I need will be in stock the next visit.
